Dubai, UAE, September 2026: Oris is proud to introduce a new 29 mm expression of the Big Crown Pointer Date, bringing a more delicate and elegant interpretation to one of the brand’s most recognisable designs. A constant in the Oris collection since 1938, the Big Crown Pointer Date has become an icon of Swiss watchmaking, designed to appeal to those with smaller wrists while preserving the character and codes of the original.

Every detail of the Big Crown Pointer Date has been thoughtfully refined for its new proportions. The signature fluted bezel and oversized crown remain, while the tapered crown brings a more refined and comfortable feel. The pointer hand has been delicately reduced and harmonised with the other hands, where it would typically appear in a contrasting colour, while the date scale combines softer dots and Arabic numerals around the edge of the dial. Skeletonised hour and minute hands add to the sophisticated design, complemented by a sunburst central dial and grained outer section. At the heart of the watch, an automatic Swiss Made mechanical movement brings the timeless design into the present.

With its delicate proportions and carefully considered details, the 29 mm Big Crown Pointer Date offers an elegant new interpretation of an Oris icon, preserving the spirit of the original while opening it to a new generation of wearers.
